My Grandmother was a painter and my mother was very creative, artistically too, so I guess that enjoying art was something that I couldn’t help. I studied fine art and fashion and textiles, at Gloucestershire College. I was into alternative music culture, so tattoos were always and interest to me.
In 1997 I met Alan Hale of Alzone Tattoo Studio and he offered me a tattoo apprenticeship, which I accepted and by 1998 I was tattooing full time, at Alzone and have been working there ever since.
My work is mostly a combination of semi realistic images and hand drawn things. I enjoy both, either together or separately. It makes me a fairly versatile artist and I enjoy working with colour or black and grey. Being able to design a custom tattoo for clients, to fit their ideas, is a fun challenge.
It’s really important to me, to keep working with other artists too. I enjoy the few conventions that I work and will possibly do some guest spots later in life. Working with others in a tattoo shop and away from home, is always so beneficial and fun.
